Europe opens lower before c-banks' remarks

Major European stock market indexes traded lower at the open on Monday, ahead of remarks to be given by Germany's and the United Kingdom's central banks later during the day. Additionally, on the data front, the Eurozone trade balance will be released today.

The DAX declined 0.33% at the opening bell, with Porsche plunging 2.54% at 9:03 am CET. The CAC 40 fell 0.66% at 9:01 am CET, as Pernod Ricard dropped 1.04% at the same time. The FTSE 100 was down 0.57% at the open, with Unilever decreasing 1.72% at 9:02 am CET.

The euro lost 0.10% against the dollar at 8:59 am CET, selling for 1.04026. The pound dropped 0.30% versus the greenback, going for 1.22269 at the same time.
