Fed's Mester: Coronavirus may impact US Q1 growth

Coronavirus may impact the American economy in the first quarter of 2020, President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland Loretta Mester said on Friday. However, she added that she has not included the virus' impact in her growth forecast yet.

Mester added that fundamentals in the US economy remain good and that inflation is low. Speaking to Bloomberg TV, Mester went on to say that the phase one trade deal between the US an China reduced some uncertainties that existed.

The phase one trade deal between the United States and China was signed in January.
