GM postpones return to office plans - report

General Motors Company will postpone plans to return employees to offices after a message about phasing out remote work the carmaker had sent to corporate workers late last week caused "backlash and confusion," CNBC reported on Tuesday, citing a company memo it obtained.

"Our plan was always, and still is, collaboratively design the solution that best balances the needs of the enterprise with the needs of each of you," GM executives said in a memo sent earlier in the day, according to the report.

The company is looking to "clarify to help answer some of the questions and concerns that we've been receiving," a GM spokeswoman told CNBC.
