Govt focused on passing WA bill- Downing St

The focus of the British government is still on getting Parliament's approval for the withdrawal agreement bill, which is planned to be offered to MPs at some point next week, the spokesman for United Kingdom's Prime Minister Theresa May stated on Tuesday. However, the spokesman, James Slack, went on to reiterate that May still wants the country to be able to do its own trade deals, which precludes the possibility of negotiating a post-Brexit customs Union demanded by Labour.

Slack added that the Conservative government of the United Kingdom and the opposition Labour Party must compromise and work hard in order to find a solution to the current Brexit deadlock.

According to earlier media reports, cross-party Brexit negotiations are set to continue today following the Easter holidays, but no meeting between May and Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn has been scheduled.
