Hurricane Sally makes landfall in US

Hurricane Sally made landfall in the United States on Wednesday as a strong category 2 storm, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) said.

The hurricane hit Gulf Shores of Alabama and sustained maximum winds of 105 miles per hour.

Earlier, the NHC warned Sally is likely to cause "life-threatening" flash-flood in Alabama and Florida.
