India excludes Huawei from 5G network - report

The Indian government decided to exclude Huawei from its 5G network trials amid border tensions with China, reversing an earlier decision, Sputnik reported on Friday citing sources from India's Electronics and Information Technology Ministry.

"Huawei is out of all, no 5G trial will be for Huawei," sources claimed.

In 2019, India granted Huawei permission to participate in 5G trials in the country. However, the dispute between the two countries over the border in Ladakh has escalated since which led to India banning 59 Chinese apps this week over national security concerns.
