Europe opens in the green

European equities opened with gains on Wednesday as oil traded slightly higher and investors eyed for new earnings reports. The DAX grew 1.08% at 9:05 am CET. Siemens jumped 4.43% at 9:06 am CET as it reported better-than-expected first quarter earnings an raised its forecast for 2017. Commerzbank and Deutsche Bank followed with increases of 2.1% and 2.2.% respectively.

The CAC 40 advanced 0.95% at 9:10 am CET. The best performer was Michelin rising 3.69% at 9:02 am CET.

The FTSE 100  added 0.61% at 9:10 am CET. The mining sector was making gains with Fresnillo, Polymetal and Antofagasta at the head.

The euro inched down 0.09% against the dollar changing hands for 1.0787 at 9:22 am CET.
