Turkish lira trades at pre-referendum levels

The value of Turkey's currency was little changed on Tuesday, after yesterday's spike gave way with concerns the country's switch to an executive presidency after the historic referendum on April 16 would increase tensions with the European Union.

The euro was only 0.1% down at 3.9359 liras at 11:42 am CET, after dipping to as low as $3.9182 and compared to yesterday's drop to 3.8521. At the same, the dollar bought 3.6909 liras, 0.3% in the red for the day, taking back a chunk of losses following a decline to 3.6795 earlier in the session. The Dow Jones Turkey Titans 20 stock index was flat at 940.9 points at 11:25 am CET in Istanbul.
