Bitcoin drops on Japanese regulators' crackdown

The Bitcoin suffered a decline of more than 6% on Friday, together with most major cryptocurrencies, and touched $6,286.3 for the first time in nine days. Earlier, the Financial Services Agency in Tokyo issued so-called business improvement orders for bitFlyer, Japan's largest exchange in the sector, and five other marketplace operators.

The most widely watched cryptocurrency fell 5.96% to 6,316.5 at 3:03 pm CET. The exchange rate against the euro tumbled 6.53% to 5,417.36. June Bitcoin futures dropped 6.47% to $6,285. Spinoff digital currency Bitcoin Cash lost 9.28% to $790.61.
