Syria dispatches troops to north to face Turkish forces

Syrian Army units are moving north in order to face the Turkish forces conducting a military operation against the Kurds, the country's state media agency SANA announced on Sunday.

According to media reports, Kurdish forces have reached an agreement with the government of Bashar al-Assad to fight against the Turkish incursion. Several news organizations close to Damascus stated the Russian and Syrian government troops would enter Kobani and Manbij in the next 48 hours.

Meanwhile, the United States started withdrawing the remaining troops from northern Syria in order to avoid getting caught in the fighting.
