UK inflation remains unchanged in November
Annual price growth in the United Kingdom remained unchanged at 1.5% in November on a monthly scale, according to the latest report from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) on Wednesday. Inflation stuck at three-year low and comfortably below the Bank of England's target of 2%.
The largest downward contribution came from accommodation services, and alcohol and tobacco, up 0.07 and 0.05 percentage points, respectively. The largest offsetting upward contributions came from food, and recreation and culture, down 0.06 and 0.05, respectively.
Rising prices of clothing and footwear, by 0.03%, also gave a small downward contribution, the report noted.
