No reason for E3 to launch JPCOA dispute mechanism - Russian FM

Russian Foreign Ministry stated on Tuesday that it does not "see any reason" for the European Union signatories to the Iran nuclear deal (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action or JCPOA) to start a dispute resolution mechanism against Tehran.

The EU signatories of the JCPOA, also known as the E3, are France, Germany and the United Kingdom. Russian Foreign Ministry said that the E3's decision is "of serious concern" and that it may have a detrimental effect on the Iran nuclear deal, which "has not lost its relevance."

After Iranian Quds Force head Qassem Soleimani was killed by the United States forces, Tehran revealed that it will scale back its denuclearization commitments included in the JCPOA deal.
