Kudlow: China trade deal still intact, Beijing says

White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow said on Tuesday that the trade deal with China is still "intact, or so they say" referring to Beijing, although the question remains whether it will be implemented on schedule.

In an interview with Fox News, Kudlow reflected on growing tensions with China over the coronavirus pandemic. "China's concealment, its collusion with the World Health Organization and its misinformation is a major cost in both human and economic terms," he explained before turning to the contentious national security law for Hong Kong proposed by Beijing earlier this month.

The new law could amount to a "One country, one totalitarian system" policy on part of Beijing, Kudlow said while calling the proposal "very disturbing."
