Wall Street finishes higher despite ongoing protests

Equities on the United States stock markets ended the Monday higher despite the ongoing protests. White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany defended US President Donald Trump' handling of the turmoils. Meanwhile, states have slowly begun to ease lockdown measures. Some governors moved to further reopen their states’ economies, allowing retailers and restaurants to open back up over the next week.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average grew 0.36% at the closing bell. Boeing Co. the best performers, increasing 3.80%. The Nasdaq 100 was up 0.46% with Zoom Video Communications surging 13.75%. The S&P 500 advanced 0.38% as Coty Inc. gained 20.94%.

The euro grew by 0.29% against the dollar at 4:02 pm ET, changing hands for $1.11325.
