Lakers take Game 1, Dragic, Adebayo pick up injuries

The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Miami Heat in Game 1 of the 2020 NBA Finals 116-98 to take a lead in the series (1-0). The Western Conference champions secured a 17-point lead by the halftime, hitting 11 threes out of 17 attempts in the first two quarters to tie the franchise playoff record for the most three-pointers made in a half.

Anthony Davis led Frank Vogel's team to the victory with 34 points to go along with nine rebounds and five assists, while Lebron James was one assist shy of the 28th career playoffs triple-double as he had 25 points, 13 boards and nine dimes. Jimmy Butler was the best performer for Erik Spoelstra's side with 23 points and five rebounds.

Slovenian guard and Miami's top scorer in the 2020 playoffs, Goran Dragic, picked up an ankle injury in the second quarter that kept him out for the remainder of the game. Heat center Bam Adebayo left the court with a shoulder strain with over 18 minutes to go in the game and hasn't returned either.
