Brexit talks stall as staffer tests positive for COVID

The latest round of negotiations between the European Union and the United Kingdom regarding Brexit came to a temporary halt after one of the negotiators in Michel Barnier's team tested positive for the coronavirus.

"Update: One of the negotiators in my team has tested positive for the COVID-19. With David Frost, we have decided to suspend the negotiations at our level for a short period. The teams will continue their work in full respect of guidelines," Barnier shared on Twitter. "The health of our teams comes first," Frost added commenting on the situation.

"Significant issues remain" between the two sides despite the continuous talks, according to a recent statement coming from London.
