Japan's producer prices up 0.8% in March

The Producer Price Index (PPI) in Japan stood at 102.1 in March, an increase of 0.8% compared to the previous month, according to a preliminary report by the Bank of Japan on Monday. On a yearly basis, producer prices increased by 1%.

The Export Price Index was at 101.6, up 1.1% from February and 3.9% from March 2020. The Import Price Index was reported at 102.5, marking a 1.7% month-on-month rise, and a jump of 4.5% compared to March 2020.
