Ford revenue down 2.24% to $33.6 billion in Q1

Ford Motor Company released its earnings report for the first quarter of fiscal 2021, revealing a total revenue of $33.6 billion, a 2.24% dip compared to the first trimester of fiscal 2020. Moreover, the company posted diluted earnings per share of $0.81. The company sold a total of 1,062,000 units, or 5.68% less than in the previous January-March period.

“Our team is relentlessly executing our plan to turn around our automotive business so that we can create and deliver the high-value, always-on experience that our Ford and Lincoln customers deserve. There’s no question we’re becoming a stronger, more resilient company,” said Ford’s president and chief executive officer Jim Farley.

Ford Motor Company's shares dropped 0.40% after the close.
