Iran thinks JCPOA talks will need new round

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi (pictured) said on Saturday that he does not believe a "final conclusion" on the future of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) will be reached during the current round of negotiations in Vienna.

Araqchi noted that he believes delegations will need to go back to their countries for deliberations before returning for "at least" one more round of talks.

"We are not setting any targets for how long the talks will take, we will continue to talk so long as we see it is needed for us to achieve our optimal targets. We will not waste time, or let others waste time for that matter," he added but pointed out that the sooner an agreement is reached, the better.
