US up premarket with tech earnings in focus

Equities on Wall Street traded higher on Tuesday, as investors continue to analyze the latest quarterly earnings reports. Facebook reported a strong yearly gain yesterday, while Microsoft, Alphabet, Twitter will reveal their after markets close.

Meanwhile, Senate Democrats seem to be close to an agreement on the "billionaire tax," Elon Musk warned about short-term inflationary pressures, and Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin unveiled plans to build a commercial space station by 2030.

The Dow Jones increased 0.31% at 4:19 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 gained 0.64% at the same time. The S&P 500 was up by 0.44% at 4:20 am ET. The euro stood flat against the dollar trading for $1.16108 a minute later.
