GSK says its third-quarter revenue rose 5% to £9.1B
GlaxoSmithKline PLC (GSK) announced on Wednesday that its sales in the third quarter of 2021 came in at £9.08 billion, marking a 5% rise compared to the same period a year ago. The constant currency turnover change amounted to 10%.
Earnings per share stood at 23.3 pence, down 7% on the year, according to the update. The company's operating profit increased by 4% and by 15% at CET, amounting to £1.94 billion.
The report "has allowed us to improve our full-year guidance and, alongside the progress in strengthening our R&D pipeline, reinforces our confidence in the outlook for a step-change in growth and performance in 2022 and beyond," GSK Chief Executive Emma Walmsley said.
GSK shares advanced by over 1.5% in the premarket after the announcement.
