Europe opens higher as markets monitor data

European stock exchanges opened higher on Monday with the German trade balance report and Eurozone investor confidence data releases as the focal points for market participants, who will also look at the latest developments in eastern Europe and the possibility of more sanctions against Russia.

The DAX moved up 0.43% at 9:03 am CET as its best performer Delivery Hero advanced 11.93% at 9:07 am CET. London's FTSE 100 grew 0.45% at 9:01 am CET with Rolls-Royce going up 1.75% and leading the gains at 9:02 am CET. The CAC 40 increased by 0.43% at 9:00 am CET, pulled up primarily by Thales's 1.42% rise at 9:04 am CET.

The euro decreased by 0.10% against the dollar, selling at 1.10378 at 8:59 am CET. The British pound was 0.09% higher in comparison to the American currency, going for 1.31270 at the same time.
