DOJ plans probe into Trump document removal - report

The United States Department of Justice (DoJ) has been making initial moves to start an investigation into former president Donald Trump's handling of presidential records that he moved to his Mar-a-Lago, Florida, residence after his presidential term ended, the Washington Post reported on Thursday.

Trump said earlier that the documents have been returned to the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) "easily and without conflict and on a very friendly basis, which is different from the accounts being drawn up by the Fake News Media," while also claiming the was "told" he "was under no obligation to give this material based on various legal rulings that have been made over the years."
