Gold, silver decline as sell-off continues across the board

Prices of precious metals went down on Monday, seemingly pressed by a stronger dollar, as the sell-off continued in regard to both equities and debt.

Russia's President Vladimir Putin held a speech earlier today, underlining the importance of avoiding a full-blown world war, which seemingly pressured the safe-haven assets further.

Gold lost 0.94% versus the dollar, selling for $1,864.58 per ounce at 5:52 am ET, with silver dropping 1.45% to $22.04 an ounce at the same time. A minute later, platinum dived 2.02% to $943.74 per ounce, while palladium slid 0.1% to $2,048.4 per ounce at the same time.
