Kirby to be moved to a new security post - WH
Pentagon spokesman John Kirby will be moving from his current role to the post of National Security Council (NSC) Coordinator for Strategic Communications, the White House announced.
"In this role, Kirby will coordinate interagency efforts to explain United States policy and will serve as a senior administration voice on related matters, including as appropriate at the White House podium. This position will be housed at the NSC and report to the National Security Advisor," the White House statement said.
Yesterday, Kirby noted that Pentagon has so far seen no evidence of Russians using laser weaponry in Ukraine, despite Moscow's assertions that it is utilizing a new generation of powerful laser arms in its military operation.
