Taiwan will 'firmly uphold' its sovereignty - Tsai
Taiwan President Tsai Ing-Wen in her speech, welcoming the US delegation to Taiwan, said Taipei will "firmly uphold" its sovereignty and "continue to hold the line of defense."
"Facing deliberately heightened military threats, Taiwan will not back down," said Tsai, warning that any actions against Taiwan will have consequences for the entire Indo-Pacific region.
Tsai went on to thank the United States for supporting the disputed island, describing US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi as one of Taipei's most devoted allies.
