CVS’s Q2 revenue tops estimates at $80.6 billion

CVS Health Corporation revealed on Wednesday that its revenue amounted to $80.6 billion in the second quarter of 2022, up 11% compared to last year. Diluted earnings per share rose to $2.23, up 6% from $2.10 recorded in the same quarter of 2021. Meanwhile, operating income came in at $4.57 billion, up on a year-on-year basis from $4.33 billion the previous year.

"Despite a challenging economic environment, our differentiated business model helped drive strong results this quarter, with significant revenue growth across all of our business segments. The continued success of our foundational businesses accelerated our strategy to expand access to health services and help consumers navigate to the best site of care. We remain a trusted community health destination for millions of individuals with health products and services that engage customers in all aspects of their health wherever and whenever they need it," CVS Health President and CEO Karen S. Lynch said.
