WH confirms new $775M military aid package to Ukraine

According to a statement released by the White House on Friday, United States President Joe Biden decided to allocate another military aid package to Ukraine, worth $775 million. "I hereby delegate to the Secretary of State the authority to direct the drawdown of up to $775 million in defense articles and services of the Department of Defense, and military education and training, to provide assistance to Ukraine and to make the determinations required under such section to direct such a drawdown," Biden stated.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken noted that the latest package "brings total US security assistance committed to Ukraine to approximately $10.6 billion since the beginning of this Administration." Previously, a senior Pentagon official shared that the package will, among other things, comprise additional ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), howitzers, Scan Eagle drones, mine-clearing systems, High-Speed Anti-Radiation Missiles (HARMs) and tube-launched optically-tracked wire-guided missiles (TOW missiles).
