Gazprom to lower gas deliveries to Engie starting today

French power company Engie SA shared in a statement on Tuesday that Gazprom PJSC informed the company it will be reducing its gas deliveries starting today, over a disagreement related to the application of certain contracts.

"Engie had already secured the volumes necessary to meet its commitments towards its customers and its own requirements, and put in place several measures to significantly reduce any direct financial and physical impacts that could result from an interruption to gas supplies by Gazprom," the statement read.

Engie noted that ever since the start of the war in Ukraine, Gazprom's gas deliveries to the company had decreased on a substantial level.
