Putin: Choice of people in new regions beyond any doubt

By voting in the referenda, people in new territories have made their choice "beyond any doubt," Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday.

The votes represent the "will of millions of people," Putin noted in a speech at the Grand Kremlin Palace ahead of the signing of the accession treaty with Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics and Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.

The "real masters of Kiev regime" need to remember that people from the four regions will "become our citizens forever," Putin stressed. Moscow calls on Kiev to cease war "they began in 2014" and the Kremlin is open to negotiations, the Russian president underlined.
