Kashkari: Supply side could help avoid recession
Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis President Neel Kashkari said on Thursday that the recovery and improvement of the supply side of the economy could also help the United States economy avoid a recession.
Speaking at the Bremer Financial Corporation's Fall Leadership Conference, Kashkari stressed that the inflation has not started decreasing and that the Fed will not halt the interest rate-raising process until prices clearly show they are on a downward path.
The Fed official pointed out that he is not concerned about stagflation and that the US economy is going through a transition at the moment, rather than stagflation.
