EU could start probe into Microsoft's Teams
The European Commission is considering starting an antitrust investigation into Microsoft Corp.'s business communication platform Teams, Politico reported on Wednesday. The probe would be related to Slack Technologies' complaint about Microsoft's practice of tying its Office package with Teams, compelling users to install both.
Two EU sources claimed that the Commission "plans to escalate the probe quickly and is preparing a statement of objections laying out competition problems with the company's behavior." Neither the Commission nor Microsoft have so far confirmed the report.
