Salesforce appoints 3 new directors
Salesforce Inc. announced on Friday it appointed three new members to its board of directors.
The executives joining the board are ex-CEO of Carnival Corporation Arnold Donald, Mastercard CFO Sachin Mehra and CEO of ValueAct Capital Mason Morfit. "As highly respected business leaders, they each bring valuable experience to further enhance and balance the diverse skills on the Board and advance our value creation initiatives," Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff stated. Meanwhile, board members Sanford Robertson and Alan Hassenfeld announced they have no plans to seek reelection at Salesforce's 2023 stockholders' meeting.
The appointments come just days after Elliott Management Corp. and Inclusive Capital Partners LP took stakes in the cloud-based software company.
