Microsoft: Revamped Bing surpasses 100M daily active users
Global Head of Marketing for Search and AI at Microsoft, Divya Kumar, told CNBC on Thursday the newly equipped Bing search engine "has grown to exceed 100 million daily active users" since February, while "daily installs" of the mobile app have grown four times since its launch.
The announcement comes at the same time Microsoft is scrapping the waiting list it has held for the application. "We have really good, positive signal from the time we launched," Kumar said while adding that the company is "seeing growth of Bing share, and it follows the eight straight quarters of growth" in the Microsoft Edge browser share.
Finally, Kumar also stated that the company has opened up the platform's ability for developers and third parties to build on top of Bing to assist people in performing actions on their queries and completing tasks.
