Airbus picks CEO of Commercial Aircraft unit
Airbus SE announced on Tuesday that Christian Scherer will take over as the new CEO of its Commercial Aircraft business. Scherer has been the chief commercial officer at the company since September 2018 and will report to Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury in his new role.
"Nomination will ensure dedicated operational focus for this business in challenging times, enabling the Airbus CEO to focus on the strategic, global and transformational agenda of Airbus... This new [organizational] set-up will be established in the next months in collaboration with the Company's social partners, with a target go-live in project mode from 1 January 2024 onwards," Airbus said in a press release.
