McDonald's to use Google Cloud technology in restaurants

The McDonald's Corporation announced on Wednesday a multiyear global partnership with Google to introduce its Cloud technology across restaurants around the world.

Under the agreement, McDonald's will incorporate Google Cloud's hardware, data, and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to accelerate innovation and enhance experiences for customers, restaurant teams, and employees across the globe. "Connecting our restaurants worldwide to millions of data points across our digital ecosystem means tools get sharper, models get smarter, restaurants become easier to operate, and most importantly, the overall experience for our customers and crew gets even better," McDonald's Executive Vice President and Global Chief Information Officer Brian Rice said.

In addition, the American fast-food chain also revealed it will open roughly 10,000 new locations worldwide by the end of 2027, bringing the total amount of restaurants to 50,000.
