Putin warned Biden about NATO activity in Ukraine - Kremlin

Russian President Vladimir Putin warned his United States counterpart Joe Biden against what he described as the North Atlantic Treaty Organization's (NATO) dangerous attempts to conquer Ukrainian territory, the Kremlin stated on Tuesday on the two leaders' meeting that took place earlier in the day.

The president's office said Putin asked for "reliable guarantees" NATO will try to expand to the East. He also told Biden to stop putting "responsibility onto Russia's shoulders" and provided evidence of Kiev's "destructive" attempts to "dismantle the Minsk Accords."

The Kremlin also asserted the two presidents agreed to continue their dialogue "given their special responsibility for maintaining international security and stability." It added that Putin also proposed to Biden that both countries should nullify all mutual restrictions on their diplomatic missions.
