Russia, China may restart ground passenger travel
Moscow and Beijing are negotiating about resuming ground travel for passengers as China decided to ease the measures imposed to fight the new wave of COVID-19, the Russian Consulate General in Harbin's press service told RIA Novosti on Tuesday.
"At the beginning of the next year, quarantine for those entering from abroad will be lifted; the rules for Russian drivers for staying in China will gradually change; passenger traffic will be opened, possibly at the beginning in a test mode on one of the Russian-Chinese border crossings," the press service said.
The day before, China's National Health Commission (NHC) confirmed further relaxation of the measures against coronavirus, which include the removal of quarantine for travelers and goods from abroad.
