Russia will respond if US introduces new sanctions

Russian First Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the Federation Council on International Affairs Vladimir Dzabarov stated on Wednesday that his country will respond to any new measures introduced by the United States against Russia. His comment comes after a group of Democratic and Republican senators introduced a legislation calling for further United States sanctions against "Putin's Russia" in response to its actions regarding Syria and Ukraine.

"If such a law is passed, there will be reciprocal measures, we have what to answer with. We will use the available resources, I am sure of this," stressed Dzabarov.

The Russian official highlighted that Russia has learned to deal with restrictive measures after the sanctions that were introduced against the country five years ago. "We have become accustomed to such tricks of the Americans. We will deal with it. There was not yet a case where we could not do it."
