Scottish MPs walk out of UK Parliament session

A group of British lawmakers from the Scottish National Party (SNP) walked out of the Wednesday session of the prime minister's questions dedicated to Brexit, after Speaker of the House of Commons decided to remove SNP's Westminster leader Ian Blackford from the chamber.

Earlier in the day, Blackford criticized the way the government has been handling the issue of Scottish devolution in the ongoing Brexit negotiations and the EU withdrawal bill. After the Speaker John Bercow refused to hear Blackford's question, he ordered the SNP leader to resume his seat, which Blackford declined to do and subsequently left the session. Blackford was then followed by all SNP MPs present in the chamber.
