Sudan could join Israel peace deal - report

Officials from the United States, the United Arab Emirates and Sudan will hold a meeting in Abu Dhabi today to discuss the possibility of reaching a peace agreement between Israel and Sudan, Axios reported on Sunday.

According to sources, Sudan will accept the normalization deal if the country receives $3 billion in humanitarian assistance and direct budgetary aid in return to survive the economic crisis worsened by the coronavirus pandemic.

The report comes as announced by President Donald Trump, who previously claimed that several "big" countries from the Middle East had expressed interest in joining the peace treaty initially signed by Israel, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.
