Trump, Erdogan agree on need for urgent solution to Libya

United States President Donald Trump held a phone conversation on Saturday with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during which the two leaders agreed on the need for an urgent solution to the crisis in Libya, the White House announced.

During the call, Trump "reiterated concern over worsening foreign interference in Libya and the need for rapid de-escalation," while the pair also touched on Syria, where there is a rapid need for a "political resolution, as well as unimpeded humanitarian access throughout the country."

Finally, the two presidents discussed the coronavirus pandemic and kickstarting the global economy in the wake of the crisis.
