Trump extends condolences to Sri Lanka

After a series of apparently coordinated bomb attacks on Catholic churches and hotels in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday, United States President Donald Trump extended condolences to the South Asian island country and offered help.

"138 people have been killed in Sri Lanka, with more that 600 badly injured, in a terrorist attack on churches and hotels. The United States offers heartfelt condolences to the great people of Sri Lanka. We stand ready to help!" US president wrote on his Twitter profile.

Meanwhile, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, French President Emmanuel Macron and also expressed grief over the killings, with German Chancellor Angela Merkel condemning "religious hate and intolerance."
