Trump: Respected source could see call transcript

United States President Donald Trump said on Sunday that he would consider the possibility to give the transcript of his July call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky "to a respected source," NBC's Kelly O'Donnell wrote on Twitter. He has repeatedly defended his conduct after a whistleblower complaint and reports that he pressed his counterpart to help start an investigation into the business activities in the country of Hunter Biden, son of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. Earlier today, Trump appeared to have acknowledged he has indeed raised the issue.

"They can look at it, what I said was so, it was a great conversation," the reporter added. Trump is in Texas, where he is scheduled to speak at a public event in Houston with India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"We'll make a determination about how to release it, releasing it... The problem is when you’re speaking to foreign leader, you don’t want foreign leaders to feel they shouldn’t be speaking openly," the president was quoted as saying.
