Trump signs $104B COVID-19 relief bill

United States President Donald Trump signed the coronavirus relief package. "The Act makes emergency supplemental appropriations and other changes to law to help the Nation respond to the coronavirus outbreak," Trump said in a statement.

Earlier in the day, the $104 billion relief bill, which guarantees paid sick leave and free testing for the disease, was approved by the Senate with a 90-2 vote. The economic package is the second measure aimed at supporting the American economy amid the COVID-19 pandemic and was preceeded by an $8.3 billion funding bill.

Meanwhile, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell stated after the vote that Congress will immediately start working on a third measure, the $1 trillion COVID-19 aid package which was proposed by the White House.
