UK says Ukraine conducted 'significant operation' in past 48 hours
The British Ministry of Defence on Saturday claimed "significant Ukrainian operations" were conducted in various sectors of eastern and southern regions of the country within the past 48 hours.
"In some areas, Ukrainian forces have likely made good progress and penetrated the first line of Russian defenses. In others, Ukrainian progress has been slower," it noted. The report also highlighted the allegedly "mixed" performance of Russian forces, with some units engaged in credible defense operations, while others have exhibited disorderly retreat, potentially resulting in increased casualties as they navigate their own minefields.
