Wall Street lower premarket ahead of jobs data

Major stock exchanges on Wall Street were below the flatline in the premarket trading on Thursday, ahead of jobs data due for release today, which will provide investors an insight into the country's labor market amid recession fears.

Automatic Data Processing Inc. (ADP) revealed the day before that the number of jobs in the country climbed by 280,000 in September.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average slumped by 0.28% at 4:22 am ET. At the same time, the Nasdaq 100 and the S&P 500 decreased by 0.30% and 0.36% respectively. The euro was flat against the American currency, going to $0.98896 at 4:23 am ET.
