Wall Street turns green on optimistic data

Shares on Wall Street turned positive on Tuesday following the news that consumer confidence across the United States rose in June. Meanwhile, White House health advisor Anthony Fauci revealed that he is hopeful a COVID-19 vaccine will be created by spring next year.

Dow Jones gained 0.20% at 11:11 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 jumped 1.14% or 113 points. A minute later, the S&P 500 traded 0.73% higher.

The euro stood flat against the dollar to go for $1.12405 at 11:12 am ET.
