WH's Bernstein says he is 'concerned' about inflation

White House Economic Adviser Jared Bernstein (pictured) asserted on Friday that he is "concerned" about the inflation in the country, but added that the Federal Reserve's remarks on inflation haven't changed his stance on the matter.

In an interview with CNN, Bernstein added that he was "concerned a month ago," and he remains "concerned now," but went on to attribute the rise in prices to "strong growth" of the gross domestic product, and the fact "that the supply chains are coming back online."

"Again, the key word is transitory, as demand links up and price signals signal these supply chains to go back online," he concluded.
